Libre Community WiFi

Project description

WiFi is currently being deployed in a disorganized and ad hoc manner.

The evolution of WiFi is being driven primarily by commercial interests, and this is resulting in the deployment of isolated islands of WiFi connectivity.

A community-based WiFi model would enable much more widespread deployement, and would enable true WiFi mobility. We refer to this model as Libre Community WiFi.

This is a medium-priority project.
